10am Shepherdstown Christmas Parade… the morris dancers participate and perform afterwards at around noon.

Join us for our Holiday Contra Dance and potluck featuring the fine music of Critton Hollow String Band, with Joe Herrmann on fiddle, Sam Herrmann on hammered dulcimer and mandolin, Joe Fallon on bass, banjo and accordion, and Pete Gordon on guitar, to the fun and fantastic calling of Janine Smith and special guest, Nevada Tribble. Expect a lot of squares, as Janine has the best assortment around!
Our annual holiday potluck starts at 6pm in the decorated hall of the War Memorial Building. Bring your favorite dish to share and visit with old friends and make new ones as we celebrate the season with this annual event.
There will be a new dancers workshop at 7:30pm. Guest calling of a few dances by Nevada Tribble. No partner is needed. Bring clean soft-soled shoes to protect the dance floor, and potluck snacks for the break!
This dance is guaranteed to be a highlight of the season, with the high energy, fun filled calling of Janine Smith, and the fine old time tunes of Critton Hollow! We expect a lot of old friends to come out and join us on this one, as the Crits have a long history with SMaD!
Admission: $12 adults, $8 SMaD members, $5 dancers under 12, Shepherd Students with ID

Musicians should look forward to the January workshops offered by the Upper Potomac Music Weekends, the Fiddle Retreat and the Pipers Weekend. Both weekends offer concerts, in addition to our co-sponsored Fiddle Retreat dance in January!
